Information Systems Computer Specialist II

LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position is supervised by the Manager of Information Systems (IS).

POSITION SUMMARY: Installs and maintains all networks, telephones and computers throughout the clinic.  Install and trains end-users on computers, telephone devices, voice mail and Office Applications. Assist with SharePoint development and setup.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Installs and repairs LANS and WANS cabling throughout clinic and maintains them.

2.  Installs or repairs computer and telephone equipment.

3.  Review, update and maintain system images for deployment.

4.  Trains end-user on most computer or telephone-based applications.

5.  Perform 6 month and annual computer system inspections and maintenance.

6.  Perform SharePoint site administrative task and provide permissions to areas of use.

7.  Update program specific SharePoint areas being used

8.  Assists with other technological aspects of the organization.

9.  Provides customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders.

10.  Participates in the Performance Improvement Processes in the Clinic.

11.  Interfaces with external vendors regarding MMHC information workstation requirements.

12.  Employee must work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.  The employee shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors

13.  Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY CONTACTS:

  • Frequent interaction with all clinic staff
  • Occasional interaction with outside technicians and vendors

POSITION REQUISITES:

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • 2 - 4 years of working knowledge of computer systems
  • 1 - 2 year network experience plus 1 - 2 year working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Working knowledge of O365 and cloud services
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Current fingerprint card or the ability to obtain one clear of any restrictions upon hire.
  • Valid AZ driver's license and current automobile insurance.

Preferred:

  • A.S. degree and 3 years' experience with computer systems
  • 2 to 3 years' experience with LAN and WAN installation
  • 2 to 4 years job experience in computer science or related field

Skills/Abilities

Required:

  • To install LANs and WANs and familiar with computer systems.  Able to travel and work with end users
  • Understanding of SharePoint administrative task
  • Perform on-call problem resolution remotely, when necessary, after-hours and weekends.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications
  • Frequent lifting of 40 lbs

Equipment Operation:

  • Computer, Laser Printers, Faxes, various networked peripherals, Windows O/S and network cable testing devices

Environmental Conditions:

  • Inside and outside work environment with sudden temperature changes
