LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position is supervised by the designated Clinical Site Supervisor (Out of Home Supervisor) and/or Clinical Director. This position does not supervise any personnel; however, this position will function in the role of CFT Facilitator/Coach for teams that are dealing with complex cases.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Out of Home/BHT Specialist I will play an active role in the Child and Family team process for children with complex needs that may not be able to be served in their home or community. The BHT Specialist I may provide multiple services to clients and families, including, but not limited to Child and Family Team Facilitations, Case Management, Life Skills Training, Family Support, Health Education and Counseling. The BHT Specialist I may be assigned as a Managing Clinician to clients placed out of home/out of area services and may also serve as a resource on teams where they are not the managing clinician in order to arrange for services outside Mohave County. The Specialist I will complete additional services in support of coordination of care, activities required for approval and reimbursement of providers (this will include but not be limited to completion of authorizations, contracts, and single-case agreements) and will be expected to maintain an acceptable level of productivity as measured by billable hours/service value.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (BHT):

Frequent interaction with clients and their family /support.
Interfaces with peers, clinical team members and managers, and internal /external customers and stakeholders.
Collaborates with community resources/referral agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Social Science or Human Services or other Bachelor's degree and two years' behavioral health work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a non-behavioral health field and 30 semester hours in behavioral health education, or
Associate's degree in a behavioral health field and four years behavioral work experience or an Associate's degree in a non-behavioral health related field and 30 semester hours in behavioral health education and five years behavioral health work experience.
Valid AZ driver's license and proof of insurance
Arizona fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain upon hire
21 yrs. of age or older
Ability to be certified in CPR and First Aid
Prior experience working with children and families in a variety of settings.
Experience working with clients with complex emotional needs
Knowledge of community resources available, including benefits and entitlement process, as well as an understanding of managed care.
Understanding of client/family-centered care model
Basic skills: strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate a team or group
Complex problem-solving skills including conflict resolution skills.
Technical skills including windows computer program, copier, fax
Resource management skills.
